Dr. Nathan Torbick participated in the annual Association of American Geographers Meeting

The Association of American Geographers (AAG) held their annual meeting March 29-April 2, 2016 in San Francisco at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. The AAG annual meeting welcomes anyone with an interest in geography and related subject matter including students, scholars, and researchers. This year, the meeting gathered over 9000 attendees from 87 countries interested in the workshops, fieldtrips, posters, presentation and first ever AAG 3 day mapathon (a hands on exercise using real data to create maps). Dr. Nathan Torbick of Applied GeoSolutions presented work about lake water quality, Cyanobacterial Harmful Algal Blooms and how remote sensing can be used to map and determine health of a lake.
