AGS Scientists present at European Symposium in Prague

Dr. William Salas and Dr. Nathan Torbick, of Applied GeoSolutions, presented work at the 2016 European Space Agency Living Planet Symposium held in Prague, Czech Republic at the Prague Congress Centre from May 9-13. The event gathers Earth Observation experts to present and discuss a range of topics such as Atmosphere, Oceanography, Cryosphere, Land, Natural Hazards, Climate and Meteorology, and Solid Earth. This year the European Space Agency organized their largest Earth Observation event gathering around 3000 participants. Dr. Torbick’s presentation described the potential association between water quality, cyanobacterial harmful algal bloom exposure and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Dr. Salas’ presentation described rice mapping and greenhouse gas modeling assessment in Red River Delta Vietnam.
