Technology is rapidly changing the way agriculture is conducted. Sensors in fields, on tractors, and on satellites high above farms are constantly collecting data. At Applied GeoSolutions, we turn this data into information that farmers and land managers use to make better-informed and timely decisions, boosting productivity and reducing environmental impacts. For example, we’re working with land managers across the United States to create satellite-based maps of conservation practices. We use these maps to understand the sources of sediment runoff in rivers, and to verify agreements between the government, brokers, and farmers.
