At AGS, the role of the earth's climate is important on several projects. Climate and climate change influence ecosystem condition and affect human activities and management practices. Historical data (observed and model), regional weather patterns, climatic trends, and projected scenarios serve as drivers in several of our modeling and assessment projects. Climate data are also useful guidance in web-based decision support systems, as temporal trends and spatial variability influence decision-making and management strategies.
